Aunty Eugenia, I have been your fan for some years now and think you should know about it. I seldom watch NTA network news and programs. The few times I did, yourself, Cyril Stober and few others warmed their way to my heart. Those times, I admired the quality of your delivery, professionalism and underlying hard work, commitment that is associated with great performances. I particularly liked the intermittent smile you wear while casting the news.
I have read your book, “In the Blink of an Eye”. I thoroughly enjoyed all the articles in it. I found them interesting, entertaining and educative. They revealed the depth of your beauty; one that is beyond the physical. You have a rich & beautiful mind, well-travelled, a reservoir of knowledge, lover of history and great cuisines.
I recently watched a documentary on NTA about the number of people who gets missing on daily basis in Nigeria and across the world – the statistics is frightening and unbelievable. A day before watching the programme, I had lost a notebook in which I had written about 7 articles, I felt so bad about its loss until I watched the program. I consoled myself with the fact that losing my articles is nothing compared with losing human being.
At the end of the programme, the cast showed that the episode’s concept was your brainchild. It’s great to know that you are still making great impact at the NTA as a director.
You are a model to womanhood, mentor to the younger generation and an icon of the journalism profession.
Finally, I have a request to make; I want you to contribute an article to my educational portal – KNOWBASE. Here is a proposed title for the article, “A recipe for an aspiring Journalist”.
Thank you for blessing humanity with your talent.
