As part of efforts to develop a critical mass of professionals who would serve as catalysts of change and agents of scientific and technological advancement, as well as sustainable economic development, the Federal Government instituted the Presidential Special Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development (PRESSID) to sponsor outstanding students for postgraduate studies in the top 100 universities in the world.
The Scheme, which sponsors graduates that have obtained first class honours degrees from any recognised and approved university, was established in January 2012 and has awarded a total of two hundred and five (205) scholarships under two editions (the 2013/2014 ond 2014/2015 academic sessions).
The PRESSID Implementation Committee, on 8th September 2014, invited qualified candidates to apply for the third edition (201512016 academic session) and is therefore pleased to announce the names of the successful candidates for the award of scholarships for the 2015/2016 academic session as follows:

The successful candidates would be invited to Abuja for initial briefing at a date that would be communicated to them directly. They would be required to come along with the
original copies of their academic certificates,
- NYSC discharge certificates,
- Letters from two guarantors,
- their international passports, and
- Letters of admission (if any).
Successful candidates are also encouraged to apply to any of the top 100 universities in the world approved for the scheme as indicated on the NUCs website.
