Omale Joseph Scholarship was established in 2014, with a vision to support ambitious students who come from rural areas or students who may have lost his/her sponsor/Parent and have limited support towards their education and may be in financial difficulties.
The Scholarship is named after the founder Omale Joseph, a recipient of the Emeritus Prof. Ade-Ajayi family Trust that enabled him complete his university education at the University of Ilorin.
Eligibility
- Must be an Undergraduate Student of University of Ilorin.
- Must be registered in full time programme
- Be in good academic standing
- Scholarships are available for study at undergraduate only
- Only students enrolled in Mechanical engineering are eligible to apply.
- Students must be in their second, third, fourth or fifth year of study
- The eligibility of a candidate is linked to neediness of the candidate as determined & assessed by the financial background of his/her family.
- Awardees cannot hold any other scholarship that provide cover for the complete expenditure of their studies ( Tuition Fee + Hostel + Food expenses) like Exxon/NNPC scholarship, University Scholar merit scholarship etc.
- Candidate must be a citizen of Nigeria
